This "error verifying steam userid ticket"-issue is still around sometimes. But it doesn't seem to be a client-side only problem. Switching an affected gameserver to another machine did "fix" the problem for me (copied files, "copied" ip, new server has same distro, same kernel, just "other" - b

Although this is a CSS prob, I had this danny just after i talked to you on msn about updating my tf2 server. For a few moments i had got the User ID Ticket error, i then reconnected and had a steam certificate error 0/2048. When i reconnected again it was fine. Just sharing this. __
