Research methods one of them is to reboot.
Another is to delete some files in person steam client.
But here more info about the error from steam:

(The reboot is usually the best)

This "error verifying steam userid ticket"-issue is still around sometimes.

I personally think this is unacceptable behavior by Steam.
Solutions like "Did you try to unplug it and then plug it in again?"
never really sounded so good to me.

OK, so what the hell? I deleted my ClientRegistry.blob 4 times. Didn't work
what-so-ever. Usually it does. Using the CodeRed "File > Change User"
logout->login worked 1st time. I feel like blowing my mind up

Although this is a CSS prob, I had this danny just after i talked to you on
msn about updating my tf2 server.
For a few moments i had got the User ID Ticket error, i then reconnected and
had a steam certificate error 0/2048.
When i reconnected again it was fine.
Just sharing this.

Are you trying to run a mod? Mods that haven't been converted to the SDK
will boot people like that (such as the Dystopia Demo) if you don't have an
older version of the server files.
If not, just ignore this.

find your clientregistry.blob file on your servers and delete them.
Restart the servers. they will reverify the files and generate a new
