David Thompson,
One of my favorite horn sightings was from the movie Fame where 1 or 2
horn players were practicing in the Boy's room sitting in the stalls. As I
graduated from Performing Arts in '68 before the movie was made, I like to
think it was modeled after me and Steve.

Even if they didn't have lacquer they could shine up their instruments so they

I think one of the main characters in Six Feet Under cheats on her horn
player boyfriend in season 3. I caught one episode where he walks in carrying
his horn and discovers her with her old lover.

I thought I heard on the local classical music radio station that the
director of the Fort Worth Symphony played horn in Argentina before
switching to conducting and being picked up as the Music Director of the

We will get a new music director, who´s biography says
nothing about him having studied any instrument other than
the baton ! Nobody could imagine such even in short time
past ??? He has good working attitudes, but no idea
about the instruments. You should ask the Dresden players

I am a horn player AND a conductor, and proud of

In fact, I enjoy the conducting more than the

Hello list,
I have a friend who is looking for some trumpet and horn duets, and I
promised her I would ask you all. As far as I know, the available
insturmentation is just one horn and one trumpet. Any and all titles would be
great.
French Suite written by Robert King and published by Robert King... I
think it was originally written for trumpet and euphonium, but it comes
with an optional horn part as an alternate for the euphonium. Has five
or six short movements of varying style.

Anyone experiment with using a bolt nut on the
