later.
Happy New Year to all.

Maybe the easiest way is to download the New Mozart Edition score. It's
free under some restrictions, and the most authorative score you can
find anywhere in the world.

One of my students walked off with my son's horn part to the Mozart horn
concerti and he's been working on #1 in D, so I've taken the opportunity to
create the part again from the piano/horn copy of the score we still have,
inputting the entire thing into the computer music program Sibelius. (I

The vast majority of auditions require one of the

I'm writing a paper about what college horn players--getting ready to enter the
performing world--can learn from horn players currently in major symphonies.
If anyone wants to help me out, I have a few questions here. All I ask is that
you give your name and what symphony you play(ed) for. If
Hi Simone
I'm not a specialist on the Poulenc, but I'm trying to get a handle on stopping.
This column says that cuivre doesn't necessarily mean stopped.

Dear all,
In the 67-69th bars after the second Très calme, (i.e. rehersal number 10 of
Chester's editon) there is a word cuivrè. Does it mean hand-stopping, stop
with a mute or just simply play "copper-like" ?
Cuivrè means "copper-like, brassy" in French but more specifically, it means

included more extensive work to the sinus cavities themselves as well) and
it did not affect my playing one way or the other. Naturally I waited about
four to five weeks before returning to the horn. I have responded to the

Hi,
I am looking for advice.. Here is the problem. I had surgery in August of last year
to repair my deviated septum.. I had 75 % blockage in one nostril. My doc assured me
it would not effect my playing. Well, here I am to say it has. I feel like I have to
learn to play all over again.
