The CNS is very dependent on timely responses to GQSCAN requests. If any of
the systems in the sysplex cannot keep up with the volume of contention
being generated, these ABEND09A's are possible as the requests are single
threaded.
Do all of the systems in the sysplex have enough weight?

There are some system with little weight in the sysplex, mostly the GDPS
controlling system. We've tried to place the CNS on one of the stronger
images (with setgrs cns= command after IPL). The issue is so far under
control as we have a problem record open with IBM support about this.

Thanks it was interesting. What I got a big kick out of how IBM did not mention
their abandoment of education in the 80's and 90's. Their 2003 date was to late
and a dollar short.
I also thought it was interesting as how they danced around some topics saying
