The PS2AFPD daemon is back. Per IBM's direction I issued a S
AOPSDTO,OPTIONS='-D XFD'. This is supposed to stop any active daemons. Next do
S AOPSTART and all stopped daemons should start. It took a bit until it showed

Bookmanager's (especially Bookmanagers) are good for quick searching but
for a longer session I prefer to lean back and turn pages. The

We have JES2 exit 6 active on two lpars and have the approval to disable
it. This exit, among other things, does a number of svc 26 lookups. We
would like to be able to quantify how much cpu utilization is reduced by
turning off the exit. Can this be measured?

Thanks for all the responses. There were a number of interesting ideas
but I think I'll pass on them. Many would involve coding routines we
don't currently use and require changing the production lpars to get the
measurements. I'm scheduling the exit to be disabled on 6/20 so the
effort isn'
I don't use TN3270 but IBMLink has a new look today. Most of us here
think it's an improvement.
