I got the following info from one of our security folks today about a potential
security exposure with the HMC. Is it valid that the HMC has a RIP listener
active, or could I potentially turn it off? Any info about this would be
helpful
so I can get the security scan group off my back.
RACF for the file, so this is not an
access issue.
Thanks

MKPERMLC
When I let the job go through the INTRDR the MKPERMLC REXX exec does not
execute, but when I manually run the JCL this step works fine.
Does anyone have any ideas about this one?

this,
but I apparently have cleared memory, and I could not find this in the
archives.

another CA product to do
this since we have a global license with CA. So if CA-TPX will not
specifically
do this, and there is no SMF info that natively gives this, then is there a CA
product anyone knows of that may do this?
Thanks

addressed this, so I figured I'd ask the group.

as to how I can possibly get this to read
on our tape drives, or is there a hardware setting on a 3420 that will make
this possible?
I looked in the archives and did not find anything specific about this, and
this
is a little before my time.

this, but I
might have missed something.

for about 7 weeks, and this issue
started around a week ago. So I don't think it's an upgrade issue.

We are having an issue with our COS table and VTAM. We upgraded over the
weekend and missed copying in the ISTSDCOS module into SYS1.VTAMLIB.
Now that we are up, we are having an NDM transmit fail with the following
message:
IST1138I REQUIRED COS NAME BATCH UNDEFINED
I have tried
databases and found nothing that seemed to be a direct match.
Also, this problem does not seem to occur on our test system, as we have
tried to recreate it there. So we are also suspicious of it being load
related.
Thanks for anyone that can help.
