This is a question for those of you that run z/OS on an RDT system (presumably
also those on a zPDT system), i.e. on emulated hardware.
Yesterday we had to restart the remote viewer (VNC) I use to login to Linux to
start z/OS. Restarting VNC kills the console:

Or that you accept the gender neutral pronoun "he", which has been

Whoosh! The fact that you're humor impaired and understood neither the
joke nor the frerenece to pixel count does not make it babbling.

Are they also in a WTO accessible from MTRACE or SYSLOG?

Norbert,
As I mentioned earlier it can be done in single pass as shown earlier, I
was just trying to optimize your Joinkeys job. With your new job there a
couple of issues
1. I am not sure as to why you need to append C'40' (may be you meant
X'40')
2. With the append of C'40' your output LRE
after the "Trace 15", add something like this:
{
SyslogFacility auth

We have a Cobol CICS Sockets STC Server with a Java client.
The Java client will send in requests and receive output from the Socket

Minoru Massaki,
Norbert had an excellent idea to overcome the issue of having spaces at
the beginning or at the end. Converting to hex would overcome the issue of
truncation with JFY.
However you do NOT require 2 passes of data to insert the trailing
character using VLTRAIL and then use Joink
I have so far glossed over a (perhaps insurmountable) roadblock to identifying
a viable NIP console. In order for an OSAC console to be 'viable' at IPL, it
must also have been properly set up in OSA Advanced Facilities to match the
IODF. I'm not sure that even NIP can figure that out. It the OSA
Ah yes, the PIN. That has confounded me in the past. But I had the impression
that all consoles were PINned, not just the NIP console. A console can be
removed with IEARELCN, but before z/OS 2.1, an IPL is required to redefine it.
I have not explored the new function in 2.1 to (re)define a conso

I need to RTFM about TCPIP profile dataset(member).
Where the syntax of the statements is decribed?
Or maybe there is some presentation "for dummies" explaining
dependencies between TRLE, interface name, link name, etc.
