Hi There,
I have set the HSM BACKUP to DASD, and disabled the tape handling parameters
except for SETSYS NOUSERUNITTABLE which remains as is. However, an HBACK
command keeps allocating a tape for the backup. A backup volume is added as:

Hi,
Is it possible to track the changes made to VSAM file attributes via the SMF

I used the DAF program to see the updates/changes/alters, but was unable to

Please assist if possible.

Hi,
I need assistance with abend code ADR137E and the FILTERDD keyword. This abend
code points to the fact that more than 255 entries are specified in a INCLUDE
statement. The DFSMSdss manual says that the FILTERDD keyword must be specified
- but I cannot find a sample JCL that contains the

Hi,
I need some advice. How would one delete a VSAM data set that has a catalog

Hi,
Just one question... Will a dataset that was previously created with generic or
tailored compression, be further compressed if it is copied with DFSMSDSS and
with zEDC enabled?

Hi,
Can somebody give me an example of coding for of SPGMCLTR in order to
make use of CLASS TRANSITION for space management - moving data from one class

This should be for Storage, Management Class and Storage Group.

I have thousands of VSAM RR data sets that are grouped according to their

to create the 9 data classes, but to code these thousands of data sets
