Check your 370ACCOM
setting - I have seen instances when it needs to be ON!

My mistake. I didn't realize this was on the VM list. But
CONWAIT is the old old (old) CMS synchronization handler on the console
for clearing any bits and status on the console before doing more
console I/O. I would bet on user application error. Is it a DIAG that's
failing by any chance?

Is the address consistently at 80F10DA0 each time this occurs? If so, you
could try a TRACE PROG R F10D90.20 CMD D G to display the regs at abend,
and if this is a wild branch, you might be able to grope your way back via
R11 or R14 but check all the registers for meaningful values.
CONWAIT is CM

You also did ask a question about the
need for a VM console.
I can recommend the "integrated
3270 console", VM supports it very well
-At the HMC, drop the icon for the "3270
console" on the VM image (each VM image can get 1 such console)
-On the load panel, in the LOADPARM
field, enter:
"SYSG"

Nice to see your 'passion for Perfkit' has not faded out :-)
Could be a storage overly or a wild branch. Any chance segments are
being overlayed? What application is running?
What does #CP TRACE PROG tell you? What instruction is causing this?
Check the instruction from the trace prog.

Ok, John, there's that risk. A pity you cannot use the built-in facility
for forcing idle users (FC FORCEUSR command) since that will
take action right after recomputing the monitor data. But it is going
to do a FORCE LOGOFF and not a FORCE DISCONNECT, and
a FORCE LOGOFF is not really adequate for

Greetings,
I am running through the manual install of the PSF software under z/VM
5.1. I get to the point where I am doing the SFCM install and issue: lked
aprsfcml ( libe psfbase xref
I get an error:

Thank you Eginhard, you've given me the info I need, 'Q MON'.
PerfKit is a wonderful tool, thank you also for developing it.
The IDLEUSER report is accurate and up-to-date as of its timestamp.
But I'm using it to implement a security policy to disconnect userids
(people) that have been idle more
Perfect. Thank you. I should RTFM more closely.
