If those syslog levels are data in the linux message, then you can
filter on them like filtering on any other character string. If the
syslog levels are not in the data, no, you cannot filter.
If necessary, you could set up a separate svm, each running PROP, each

Hi Listers,
Is there a way of filtering Linux messages using PROP such that only those with
given Linux syslog levels are displayed on the z/VM console?
The "Getting Started with Linux on System z" manual shows how to filter by

If it happens again, CA wants me to contact them straight away.

Now that thare's more info, that looks to me like a bug in VM:Secure.
If VM:Secure was running without error messages and was never brought down
and if it correctly resolved the rules for a user that is a member of a
security group only after it left/rejoined the same group, then that is a
bug. Cha
I just finished the process of installing 5.4.0 from the internet
files, and like you do not have anything but 3390-3. I do not use SFS,

was and is in effect. CPACTION takes place when VM:Secure is not
active and in my case, VM:Secure is/was running.

All I did was delete the ACIGROUP from user JHUG and add it back again.
The rest of the testing is going as expected.
I am not arguing with success.

If the HCPRPx modules are included in the nucleus, your operators will be very
aware of it if the Rules Facility is not running, they will get frequent
