Thanks again Rob. The XIV rep told us no ECKD (yet?), something about not wanting to eat their own (DS8000). It sounds to me the added CPU would be very small since the DB2 servers are not I/O heavy. If you wouldn't mind...I could send some ESAMAP reports? Thanks. John Hanley

A quick Google search didn't turn up anything obvious. Our z/OS folks never heard of Reserved processors in z/OS (they see processors by the command: D M=CPU). Perhaps them are using the term Reserved for processors Dedicated to an LPAR? It might help to go back to them and ask them to be a

Hello everyone, In Performance Toolkit can the trend file be separated by dates? Right now it is cumulative. Also, I would like to keep trend files for specific number of days? For example, I would like to delete trend data that is more then 45 days old. Anybody wish to share their procedures.

Hello, Yes, you can. You should launch a procedure every midnight for renaming of the current common trend file (SYSTEM FCXTREND A1) to an unique name (f.e. 20110304 FCXTREND A1). Or move it to the store with new name. So, you will have all days as you want. You can glue all interesting days
