Hi list, I would like to ask if there's a way to e-mail a CMS file as an
attachment and not as the text itself. We have been trying to achieve this
but haven't succeeded yet. All we get is the file as text, not as
attachment.
Any help will be very welcome.
Thanks in advance,

Hi, list.
We are currently considering to migrate from z/VM 4.4 to z/VM 5.4 but we
have an issue:
We still have critical applications that use VSE/VSAM 6.1 and the questions
are:
- Does VSAM still exist in z/VM 5.4 ?
- Is it perhaps included in the z/VM 5.4 code (e.g. as TCPIP) ?
- If not, is
David and Kris,
Thank you very much for your great help. I will consider every alternative
you suggested.
Once again, thank you very very much.

Yes, thanks to the hard work of Jim Vincent, there is a 64 bit version
of TRACK available here:
http://vm.marist.edu/track/
It supports z/VM 5.4, running on 64 bit processors.
Have a good one.

Hi list, I have a webshare web server running on z/VM 4.4 and I have a web
page hosted on user httpd1 which creates a form.
If I POST send my form with mailto, it e-mails the form fields (all the
filled ones) like this:
name=Write+your+name+hereaddress=Write+your+address+here%0D%0AacctID=pass

OK, I will CPFMTXA 0-END (entire volume) but ALLOC only as PAGE 1-3338, thus

Well, I have been reading system directory and the fact of starting the page
area in cyl. 0 doesn't seem to be the cause of this problem. Originally the
system-defined system page area is defined as:

Hi, list. We are experiencing some problems with unpredictable and so far
inevitable system shutdowns for aparently unknown reasons.
- We are running 4 SLES9 Linux images under z/VM 5.2
- If we keep only 3 images, this problem doesn't seem to appear. It has
happened only with 4 images running
- PJBR
Just a guess, but will this COBOL program run above 16M? There were
problems with old programs that had to be recompiled to run above 16M awhile
back.

Hi list,
We have a problem running an OLTP application.
The scenario is a z/VM 4.4 user running a VAG Cobol application against a

At a certain point, when trying to load the third map inside the same

the DMSITP143T message; is it one of the end user

Good luck.
