If the program starts as a service, it will be automatically restarted
every time you kill it. On a Debian system you can stop,restart etc
the service by
sudo service wvdial stop|restart|start
etc
If the "service" command is not available on your box, you need to
find the initializatio

Recently my wvdial has been causing problems
whenever my mobile gprs disconnects -wvdial should normally redial.
But now it hangs showing "/dev/rfcomm1 Input/output error"
It hangs-- it doesn't quit on Ctrl+C.
So the only way i found was to kill wvdial...
i do a sudo pkill wvdial
i check using ps
