Should answer your questions about hard drive partitioning. As to resizing
partitions safely, its always better to backup all your data, and do a fresh
partitioning.

Thanks for enlightening. What is the maximum no. of partitions that can be
created in a hard disk? Some space is there in my hard disk unpartitioned.
Is Windows cannot be installed, if there are more than the permissible no.
of partitions in a disk? I could not install Windows in disk 1, as the

- Always install Windows first. If you install Windows after GNULinux, it
will override GNULinux's boot loader with the Windows boot loader. And
Windows Boot Loader don't
i would suggest to do the partitioning with windows partitiioning tool
1. install win 7 to a 80 GB partition(suggested), do not create partitions
for rest of the unallocated space at this point
2. after windows is installed and fully configured(drivers etc)
