This happens quite often on my phone as well. Atleast, in my phone, this is due to switching between UMTS (WCDMA) and GSM ie., 3G and 2G. I know that, and I usually use only 2G or 3G, never work with dual mode becz of it. My issue is different it goes zero beyond some place and never comes
