I do audio recording for a small town radio station on both eMac and iBook
(both G4's), usually using QuickTime. I rarely see the blue bars go up

audio inputs are line level and need to be connected to powered mics.

Used to play them just fine, but recently, without warning, the video pauses
(the two vertical bars) and the machine goes into sleep mode. The farther I get
