LOL. While we're on this subject, can anyone "donate" their latest and

Gee, that was a nice response. I was going to say something like to get
rid of all spam, disconnect from internet e-mail.

RelianceSoft,
We do wap development.
The trouble here is that the existing interface is too technically dense
for most wap devices. That is, any direct translation of Imail's web
interface requires functions that are typically not avaiable on wap
devices.
The correct way to approach this would be to develop

It has to go back to Ipswitch, since like I explained the iwebmsg service

Wrong answer.
Although that is a very possible answer to the symptoms you are having
(outgoing mail not being delivered), that almost certainly doesn't explain
the "TCP 14" error
Don,
I have the similar problem with our users, I deleted the user and recreated,
but it is not solving the problem.
It is emptying the main mailbox folder.
If you find any solution, Please let me know.
Balaji.

O.k., Imail says it's a DNS resolution problem. The IMail server isn't
getting a response to its DNS queries. The server's behind an MS ISA

Coolness. What skin was she using? I'm always curious
Imail 7.12 using latest patch, KWM with latest patch.
Have a single user that started by having problems sending to a list she has

Hi
Can't speak to Imail/WAP, but I'm having fine success reading my Imail
mail on my Treo 300 (Palm OS). I use Eudora and have no complaints.
I also have used Xiino (supports Javascript) and Imail webmail (though
formatting isn't wonderful).
The only thing that would make this device perfect

You'll need a WAP mail interface to access IMail's webmail - neither the

Hello,
We are running Imail 7.12 and I have hundreds of users on both PCs and Mac
running Netscape 4.7x -- all without problems. Netscape 6.2 is a dog and
not needed to work with Imail. Does the user at least receive an error
message?
Cheers,
Dominic

OK, we have determined what the problem is. SMTP isn't working, due to the
"TCP 14" error

It works and resolves all DNS queries for our internal clients. I removed
it anyway and left the public DNS only.

Sorry -- in that case, your mailserver received the E-mail from

That's OK -- the "syslog" log file format is a bit different from the

Thanks Scott,
First, you say "You received an E-mail that originated at
193.23.186.174. That is a server
of yours, but doesn't seem to be an IMail server."
this is not one of my servers, I'm only on 64.110.76
193.23.184.174 looks like being:
inetnum: 193.23.184.0 - 193.23.191.255
net
I forgot to mention, the monitor screen shows the SMTP service w/TCP 14. No
other SMTP server is running on this box. The last time I ran the
recommendations in IPSwitch's KB concerning this it completely hosed IMail
and I had to reinstall it from scratch.

Hello All,
Back to take advantage of your experience and knowledge again! :)
Our test server appears to be receiving mail based on this example from the
log:
***
20020911 084343 127.0.0.1 SMTPD
On the "Edit Address Book" page, when I enter a new address, there is always
a random chance that the system will suddenly DELETE all the addresses
previously entered.
We are running Imail Server Version 6.06. I've reproduced this problem
dozens of times myself, as well a several of our clients
In many of our mailboxes in IMail client, there are messages that don't show
up that are in the Outlook Express client mailboxes. Some have messages
from a couple of months ago, but none recent. Some show none at all. Could
you please clarify how the IMail client should work?
Thanks,
Tom
