email on more then half of their servers. Try to telnet into each one. You

My log file from a week ago is similar in size to today's log file. I
will use that in this discussion just due to the fact the files are
similar in size,

That's probably not spam control, but serious overloaded servers (so
overloaded that they can't respond properly) or other technical issues.
If it is spam control, they are telling your mailserver to try one of the
other @hotmail.com mailservers.

I have tested some the of Hotmail servers that are listed for MX. All of
them are pingable but they don't respond when you telnet in. Only a couple
will process email. What I did on the weekend was create a DNS entry on our
server farm for hotmail.com and pointed the mx record to the working ser

Good Morning. New user here. I searched the archive beforehand and Google
and I was unable to find a solution. I have configured several email
notifications and all work except the one that is sent to a text pager. The
test says it completes successfully, but is never received. I am able to

mail and they catch you, they will almost certainly list you (since many
people who run open relays for some odd reason think that they shouldn't
be listed in databases of open relays). If you block them, they can't see
whether or not you are an open relay.
