There is one problem though - Samba accounts use SSHA encryption, and

Hi, yesterday I had to remove the quota for some of my users. I did the
following:
cd /var/lib/imap/quota
rm u/user.username
quota -f
This happened to increase the usage data of many of my users, not only
the ones I removed the quota of. Why?

probably you MTA delivers the mail to Cyrus without
knowing who raphael is. If you want Cyrus to only let raphael post, them
this must happen through an authenticated LMTP session. I'm no expert
here, but take a look at Postfixs LMTP.README or something for more info
on the subject.

Hi, this is both a thank you email and a note to other users of Simons
fine RPMs.
When you install the rpm, it creates cronjob that does backups of the
mailboxes.db file every day.
This fine feature just saved my ass.Something to think of for other
maintainers.

I would do this in the MTA. If you're using Sendmail, look at
cf/README. There is an example of exactly what you want to do there
-- I believe it can be implemented in either the access map or the
virtusertable (or maybe both).

I don't know for sure whether a simple and reliable package upgrade is
worth a (small) performance penalty for the average user of a
pre-packaged (RPM or .deb) Cyrus, but I suspect it might well
for 2.1. when you use 7.3 - db3 is ok.

Please give the appropriate snippet of your sendmail.mc that corres-
ponds to IMAP server delivery as well.
(Hint: you may also try this question on sendmail mailling lists, they
know a lot more about .mc-file configuration)

Hello,
I initially thought this was a permissions issue when I saw similar
messages.
I've about convinced myself that its not and am now thinking that it
may be
a library issue, ie can't find the one it wants. My
supply
me som sh or bash scripting code so I can make sure that this will not
happen, and that the script stops and just starts cyrus (maybe with a mail
to someone as well).

a consistent state. After a crash, you can use the DB utilities
