Well I downloaded the trail last night so I will spend today working with it.
If I do like it and can get teachers to use it would it be worth the purchase
you think? Also how does that work with licensing? How would I purchase them.

Mitch,
If you want something you don't have to worry about I would recommend Google
Apps for Education. Google maintains the server infrastructure so you don't
have to worry about file corruption, hackers, or even any complex setup. With
the Google Docs portion of Apps teachers will be able
I use RapidRun Products and will continue to, and to get the coaxial/s-
vid and other connections I add in an AverMedia AverTV Box7, it has an
extra 15 pin connection too.

We are doing the same as Karl in most cases. We run a VGA cable from a
spot in the room to the projector, and rely on the AverMedia box to do
all of the switching.
From the looks of your picture, all of those cables run to the
projector, and the projector is doing the switching. If you wanted
We do that same as Karl w/ RapidRun cable and their wall plate inserts. We also
put a four gang deep box about 4 foot off the floor with two 1 conduits in the
wall stubbed above the ceiling so we have room for additional cables and can
add more connectors/inserts if needed.

I too am going to set up classrooms this summer.
Karl, please share photos. We know you have nothing else to do today
as the kids are out.
Thanks

So what does everyone do for audio? Mount speakers. Dolby 5.1
Digital Surround, cheap PC speakers?

cheap PC speakers mounted by the projectors. The VT700 projectors that
we have do have a very good speaker in them, so in some classrooms I
don't put in anything.

Lately, we have been using good quality computer speakers, as they are
cheaper than mounting speakers and amplifiers. Not as pretty, but
functional and affordable.

Previously we used the Bose 151 speaker or a custom built drop in ceiling
speaker.
We have started including classroom amplification systems in our DLT classrooms
and are installing 7 more this summer. They work great. In existing DLT rooms
we replace the RadioShack amp with their 850ir unit
Do you use a specific brand and/or model of computer speakers?

Click on the Column heading (Like 'D') and that should highlight the entire
