Sorry gang, I saw the 10 & X and was thinking mac. Check to see the given ip of the workstation. If it wasn't able to obtain an network ip, it will take 169. You might have manually give it an ip, then once on the network change it over to DHCP. Just another thought... Murray Gafkjen -

My question would be what do you mean by can't connect. Are they Active directory users that can not authenticate, are they just stand alone amchines that can not see share points. Is it set up as a domain, a workgroup, neither? I have found as Brad has that DNS is such an integral part of most

I work with Novell also, but have installed some smaller MS networks. I have had this problem before and was repaired by pointing the clients at the correct DNS server. The SBS installed should be set as the DNS server on the network and all clients pointing to it. Manson Northwest Webster-Home
