Listened from 1305-1350 UTC and conditions were better than the last few days
with JOAB-693 and JOUB-774 with audio. Many more carriers were heard and some
were close to audio. I did hear one new station as I heard CHMJ-730 in
Vancouver also I heard KIRO-710 on top of the other stations.
1125-Unidentified 21:56 UTC Nov 7 French talk , African sounding music (might
be Le Voix de Sahel, Niger ?)
Allen, I had a look at the RTBF website and at 21:07 UT, they're airing a
romantic French song program so indeed, what you heard could fit with Niger.

I now have a new antenna its a Super Loop (24x8) pointing toward the North with
RG6 Quad coax into a DX Engineering RPA-1 Preamplifier. This new antenna works
very well and I have heard one new station today when I heard CHMJ-730. I
could not hear CHMJ on any of my other antennas.
Bill
Bill,
Satisfy my curiosity please, is that 24ft x 8ft or
24 mtrs x 8 mtrs ?
Good luck with the new antenna.

At 1900 UT this Wednesday, as extensively publicized. (noon MST)
Only 30 seconds? Be quick about it, but tune across the AM or FM bands and find
any stations which are NOT running the test. Or employ your Perseus to catch
everything for later analysis.

Just noticed 1400 CBG Gander NF, good clear signal and local SS is not
until 20:04z in Gander. Might be a
good night later.

Here`s what I observed, anyway. Don`t have an analog dial AM radio handy for
rapid tuning, so decide to use the caradio in the garage; unfortunately, that`s
where there is also a lot of line noise, especially on low end of AM so I
concentrate on the high end:
1900 UT: nothing happens
1900:30
This test was in no way optional for stations as far as I know.. and the
test was not synchornized.

I can tell you that we ran it on KSMU... and since our main Springfield
transmitter (91.1FM) AND our translators in Branson/Point Lookout (90.5) and
West Plains (90.3) ALL run IBOC/HD Radio with the resultant several-second
delays, it definitely was not synchronized! (The Branson translator

WLGN, 1510, Logan Ohio has changed oldies services, from Timeless Classics to
True Oldies. Perhaps that accounts for the dead air as, when they went to
Timeless Classics they had problems with local breaks and even IDs. But would

Well, I guess it is still a work in progress. Hopefully, this initial test

On my commute home between 5-6 pm EST, in SW PA, I'm hearing a STRONG het on
1210, approx. a G# (415 Hz). Now, at 7:30 pm at home, I'm also hearing it on
my Tecsun. Peaks roughly N-S. Any ideas? Thanks-

As in True Oldies Channel? They have a website, and I'm not sure how often
it's updated, but I'll look for it on there. KLIO-1070 and KJOC-1170 are 2
stations I get here at night that run that service.

I misdated yesterday's report as the 9th, but in actual fact I was quite
accurate, as reception this morning was very similar to yesterday. The
only differences were today I had traces of audio from Korea on 972
which I didn't yesterday, but I didn't have any audio on 873, whereas
yesterday I
