Greetings everyone,
I have a small problem when I am loading the pulse-ivi-module.
Murphy and PulseAudio 5.0 (Tizen branch) are running perfectly fine. But if I
am trying to load the pulse-ivi-module I get a segmentation fault during the
registration of the custom type "funcbridge". Please see
Hi Jaska,
Oh, awesome :-)
Yes, your are right, using Murphy just for audio would be an overkill. None the
less, having a central resource governance, with an adjustable level of detail,
is crucial for an IVI platform. Therefore I am continuing to get more
experience with Murphy; great piece of
Hi Jaska,
I see. Many thanks for your reply.
This is maybe one thing to keep in mind. Right now, for my prototyping, it is
not required.

Hoi,
Does an application, which uses the PulseAudio Asynchronous API, needs to be
aware of murphy? I mean, if an application connects to the PulseAudio server
and creates a stream, it could pass all policy relevant information via
pa_stream_new_with_proplist to the server, and the corresponding

I meant, how can I influence the data flow between a source and a sink, e.g.
inserting a special mixing or filter strategy. I guess, this can be
Hi,
I try to understand the configuration of the PulseAudio Murphy IVI module.
Right now I try to wrap my head around routing_groups and nodes. This is my
understanding so far, please correct me if I am wrong:
(1) As I understand, an application and a device can be a node, right?
(2) OK, a rou
Hi Matt,
Not just trying. It already works just fine on a Ubuntu 13.04 amd64
installation, even though I haven't done too much with it.
Cheers,
Rober

Hi Matti-Pekka,
Many thanks for coming back to me. I was just curious about what it takes to
load the "module-murphy-ivi" in a vanilla PA, with Tizen's patched PA 4.0 it
works just fine.
Many thanks,
Robert

Hi,
I recognised that Tizen uses its own PulseAudio version, e.g.
pa_sink_input_set_volume_ramp in pulsecore is something Tizen specific.
Could someone please let me know about the current status of integrating
changes on PulseAudio back to upstream project?
Cheers,
Robert
