I'm not clear which application you're using. If "Outlook Distress"
means "Outlook Express", then I can't help because I don't use that. If
it means "Outlook 2003", then I can. The first item in the View menu is
Arrange By; go into that and you'll find an item called "Show in Groups"
near
From the message list, go into Current Views submenu. Arrow up to View
Messages By Conversation. (It is probably checked. Uncheck it by hitting
enter.) Problem solved.

Do you have Norton antivirus running? If you have, you may need to disable its
office plug-in for Word to work correctly. (But not having Norton myself, I'll
wait till somebody who has it can enlighten, if that is the issue.)

sorry I have no information on spy sweeper but I do use AVG professional
very successfully on this system. There are quite a number of other anti
spy ware programs out there and most of them are free for personal use.

In the end though, unchecking View Messages by Subject did it. I don't have

Is it possible for you to load Jaws after Windows has loaded, or
unload Jaws, and re-load before opening Excel?
