If you don't come up with a solution from the computer itself,
I believe you can use Wizmo to blank the screen.

key and I think the f2 key to turn it off and on but not sure.

When you do the function key f8 to switch monitors, does Jaws still work if
there isn't an alternate monitor?
Jaws always quit speaking whenever I would do that. I don't have a Dell now
or I would give it another try.
