Thanks, Umberto, for this post. There have been times when I could have used
these instructions, and they will come up again in the future. For sheer
simplicity, the instructions Mike posted cover many situations. However, they

Now that you remind me, Mike, I remember that Malwarebytes interfered with my
operation of JAWS several versions ago. It's why I dumped it and went with a

the jaws feature to silence speech is great but it’s so hard to activate the
togole button. I must press jaws key and the spacebar then the letter s but it
doesn’t silence jaws so I gotta press the combination again and again until it
finally silences. then when I’m finished it’s so hard to

It's not a lack of RAM. I have plenty. And the app is File Explorer

Hello Mitch:
Do not blame JAWS2018 for that; the fact is that Windows changes are coming at
great speed down the pike, so are changes to browsers and websites. Jaws is
just trying to keep up. Technology in general is evolving at such a quick pace

Hi All,
A week or so ago I asked if anyone might know why my Office 2010 wouldn't
save eitherExcel or .DOCX files. When I pressed, Control + S, F12, or used
the file / save menu the file I was trying to save would just flat out
disappear! This happened using Jaws 16 thru J2018. Well,

John,
Agree that it's not RAM. I suspect that since JAWS 17, when they came out
with a new paradigm for how it works "under the hood", they began to use
some memory space that is often crowded by other applications, or perhaps
subjugated in the processing hierarchy. All I know is, that for any

Hi Tom,
If you can access Jaws with the keystroke, Insert + J, then you have Jaws

Thank you for your input, for it made me try again.

Hi Tom,
First, which version of Windows are you running? If you're running Windows

Jaws from the system tray it won't show in the list of running programs,
