I am somewhat surprised you could actually type your password in notepad and
then copy and paste it into the password Field. I tried to do that along time
ago but I could not make that work because I think the password field wants to
see actual characters and not just symbols.

I almost always use the copy and paste method. Some of my passwords are
quite long especially what I use for FTP access to the server. Actually I do
not even know it as the thing is 40 characters long.

You have to be careful that when copying the contents out of Notepad that you
do not capture the space(s) or hard return prior to or at the end of the string.

window eyes has this option. why not jaws?

besides even with window eyes when it is speaking the keys i press the letters

you just have to make sure there are no extra spaces at the beginning or end of
what you have typed in.
you also have to have focus on the pasword field before you paste the password

there are a few options like only show the password when you click on a button.
