I setup the hot-key combo to mute the sound and it works great. Does
exactly what I needed it to do. Thanks for all the feedback.

3. pick from the list when you tab the mute synth option
4. right click and choose add keystroke
5. choose a keystroke like control+shift+m.

This will silence your speech.
