Over the holidays, I took a look at how one would implement recovery. I think
you're right...It is basically easy to implement(at least without handling
Heuristic errors), but hard to perform well.

JBoss can be reduced to provide services like loging, class loading,
deployment.

I figured out my problem was due to JBoss 4.0.0 which class loader is buggy.
I installed JBoss 4.0.1 and the problem disapeared.
I aslo realized that JBoss 4.0.0 has real trouble with its class loading
mechanism. It is obviously fixed with JBoss 4.0.1.

We currently build JBossCache under head with 1.4 JDK. If you need 1.3, you can
check out the source under 3.2 branch (cvs co -r Branch_3_2 jboss-3.2) and
build it with 1.3.
But keep in mind that the JBossCache version there is slightly different from
the one in head.

So I was playing with ant over the Christmas holiday and after a couple of
iterations,
I came up with something that works and provides a more declaritive
way of building projects.
This is just a quick overview. I didn't work too hard on the thirdparty
libraries since I didn't have a copy of cvs

I have created a testing patch to check null reference and provided to the
customer. Waiting for feedback.

OK, I can do that in release 1.2.1 (due next week). I am also planning to
externalize the eiviction queue size as well.

The component build defines how to build the artifacts referenced in the main
build:
There is a componentdef and an artifactdef referencing the ids defined in the
main
build file.
There are also definitions so you can differentiate the different source
types.

The main build contains a declaration of the components that make up the
overall integration project:
