Just wanted to give you all an update...
I upgraded from JBoss Tools 2.0.1 GA to 2.1.2 GA and the difference is amazing.
Performance in general is much better; loading JSF pages and beans is much
quicker.
I still hope there are improvements underway regarding the way JBoss Tools

Would you recommend upgrading from 2.0 GA to 2.1.2 through the Eclipse updates

Thanks.

Hi JBoss Tools Team,
I don't want to say this is strictly a JBoss Tools issue given that Eclipse
certainly won't be winning awards any awards under the "Performance" category.
However, I'd like to point out some concerns myself and our team is having
regarding the performance of our workspace.
Hey guys,
I fixed the issue by double-checking my org.jboss.wst.xml. This file had a
couple of paths pointing to a previous project - and even though this project
existed - once I changed the paths to point only to the current project did I
get full Seam EL. Oy!

Max,
I believe so - in fact I think I put the issue in myself. Let me go take a

Moving from Exadel Studio Pro to JBoss Tool 2.0 GA was quite an accomplishment.
JBoss Tools 2.0.1 GA looks to have a huge number of fixes and new features and

When I went "Back" using the browser button the forum post screen has reset to
its initial state and the text was lost. Sorry.
Also, I was using FFX - though I doubt that has any serious impact on the

Jacob,
Thanks for the quick reply.
We're discussing things internally; I may put together a post on our issues but
I fear it will get to be too lengthy for any forum post.
In short, our issues deal with conversation propagation, handling
conversational elements between stateful session beans,
I think part of the problem here is that outside of a few, small example
applications provided by the gracious Seam team, there are no true examples of
a large, enterprise-level application properly using Seam conversations.
Seam is so closely coupled with conversations that there is no true wa

Are you suggesting that conversation outjection works differently when an

This would explain a lot of problems we are having with conversations in a very

Max,
By disable, do you mean "ignore"? I seem to have been able to turn off the
validation by changing all of the validation elements for Seam to "ignore".
I'll look into the second method which would be to totally disable the
validation - though I really do like the concept.

The Seam validator as currently implemented is very troublesome. It runs after
each save; furthermore, when it does run, it is using roughly 80-95% of
available CPU power as it goes through each and every Seam component, JSF page,
and more, just to report back a bunch of warnings.

Will do; we also just found what seems to be a bug with the "Seam components"

Inner classes cause a true Seam component to be ignored as such and properties

I will put both of these into JIRA - thanks!

I am getting a large amount of warnings ( > 1000) on Seam components. On every

watch the number of warnings decrease over time. Once this number of warnings

All,
I fixed the issue by placing the xyz.page.xml page definitions within our /view

I definitely think the documentation should reflect this as it's not very clear.
So, now I have:

I'm using the Seam 1.21GA documentation as a guide for breaking out a lengthy

According to the documentation, I am to break out each file into their given
view-id and append .page.xml.
Therefore, I have added:
