ok i did a clean install of Eclipse 3.1.2 and still had the same problem. So I
uninstalled the plugin and tried doing it manually with the
"jbpm-gpd-feature-3.0.9.1" files, but had the same outcome. Any help or
insight would be appreciated.

ok, well I downloaded the JBoss IDE per the getting started guide in the Wiki
and everything works. I would prefer not to have to use this IDE as it takes
some time to start and I have other plugins under my other Eclipse install. Is
this unavoidable?

I see it as well. When I open the websale example, then click on the Source
tab. After that Eclipse pegs the CPU for like 3-5 minutes or until I kill it
if I get tired of waiting. I'm using latest JBoss IDE with GPD 3.0.9.1. I can
open my other processes just fine though.

It happens when I create a new process project and open the sample process that
is part of the new project layout. It also happens when I create a new process
definition in a project and try to open it. The GPD opens and then hangs...I
am unable to click anything. I have no problems with the

In any case, I don't see it happening with the latest Starter's Kit. Are you
using Windows or Linux?
And one of you says it happens with JBoss IDE, the has no problem with JBoss
IDE...
Is there some kind of trace in the Eclipse log?

No XML issue... I think it has something to do with the new deployment tab. But
not quite sure yet.

can confirm that I am also doing that in the workspace in which I have the
hanging proble
No, I mean copying the websale.par folder in a freshly created 'process'
project. If you do that it doesn't hang in my environment.

I've discovered something that may be related to this issue. Using 3.0.9.1 of
GPD, whenever I have a process definition open, Eclipse pegs the CPU for about
30 seconds every time I save any dirty file. For example, open a process
definition and open a java file. Make changes to the java file
Same thing with Eclipse 3.1.2 and GPD 3.0.9 - GDP works very slow,
sometimes (for example then I edit Java code) it quite ok, but very often
(during saving files, during starting unit-cases and so on and so on) it
started to work vry slow.
The project was created with previous version o
I have it to now, but only after adding jbpm 3.2 libraries to a jbpm project.
If I remove those and revert to the embedded 3.0.3 things work normal again.

I can confirm that as well, with the only exception being that I have the
problem by adding the jBPM 3.1.1 jars. For me, it shows as a combination of
what you describe in your post and what I described in my last post. Saving
files causes Eclipse to hang if you have a process definition open,

I have identified the problem and I am working on it. The time Eclipse freezes
is linearly proportional to the amount of classes on your classpath, so if it
is possible remove as many jars as you can from your classpath.
In the meantime, expect a service release that takes the problem awa

configuration option in the deployment page. I'll do a service release
(probably 3.0.9.2) very shortly.

I installed 3.0.9.2 and all past problems with cpu utilization when opening
process are gone, however when I added some actions to the nodes and try to
save the process definition I had the same 100% CPU utilization and had to
kill the Eclipse. I am running Jboss IDE + I installed 3.0.9.
