Hello- Does anyone else use Forte for Java (now Sun ONE studio)? I have been trying it for a few weeks and I am finding that it is so slow I almost can't use it. It is especially slow if I have other programs running at the same time. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions on anoth

Sun One Studio 4 is not at all slow if you have the recommended amount of memory and a decent processor. I run the enterprise edition on a 1 ghz P3 with 512 Megs of memory and it is very responsive. We tried to run it on a 600 Mhz P3 with 128 megs of memory at work and it was a dog. It was usa

I agree. we started using it on P2 450Mhz PC's with 128 meg ram and it would barely load let alone run. we've upped the memory to 512 meg and the response is pretty good. It could be better but I'm guessing that the CPU is the culprit now. Of course whether it's fair/correct/funny that an IDE
