Hi.
If you are running on on a UNIX base, you might need to check your
LD_LIBRARY_PATH and make sure it is pointing to the '.so' for DB2. I know
in the case of linux it is something like:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/IBMdb2/V7.1/lib;export LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Hi,
We are using Ibm Websphere3.0 as the application server.when we try
running the page we get the following error
java.sql.SQLException: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no db2jdbc in share
library path.
Can anyone please help out.
thanks.
Sounds like db2jdbc classes are not in the Websphere classpath.

The version of websphere we use supports JSP v0.91.
JSP v0.91 does not support the following tag:
%@ in
and/or on their web site. Try the IBM newsgroups as well, they have ng's for
WebSphere.

IBM websphere 3.0
Hi, all,
Has anyone successfully installed IBM Websphere 3.0 trial version?
After installation, when I tried to run the admin console, it complained
null typeAttributes.
Any idea? thanks in advance!
regards,
Lance J.
I had also faced the same problem initially. Please check if you performed
the following steps:
IBM WebSphere 3.0 trial version installation:
1. Install the web-server
2. Install the IBM specific JDK 1.1.7 downloadable from their site
3. add the jdk 1.1.7 lib directory in the CLASSPATH
4
have absolutely nothing to do with your problem.

No - WAS 2.0 supports 0.91, not 0.92. Big difference.

Thanks for the correction. The JSP FAQ at esperanto.org.nz quotes 0.92 for
WebSphere
instead of 0.91. I guess this should be changed or more newbies like myself
may get
mislead.

For question number 2, no --- WebSphere 2.0 supports JSP 0.92. As I
understand it, though, WebSphere 3.0 does support JSP 1.0.

I doubt if you can get Websphere 2.03 std edition today, the Websphere 3.0 std
edition is a free for download (for development purposes) from IBM site.
It supports servlet 2.1 and if I am right JSP 0.92. I dont think it supports jsp
1.0.

yes we are using web sphear as a web server on as400 system, we are testing
servlets and jsp as part of our project.
though initial configuration takes a lot of time may be due to our
inexperience, but afterwards it works pretty fine,
development is a time consuming task using web sphear
auto
reload on.
