My 2 cents worth. The term "Certified" is often used interchangeably when discussing factory built and experimental aircraft. It seems to be a confusion of licensing Category versus Manufacturing Standards. Factory built "Certified" aircraft MUST comply with the "TYPE CERTIFICATE DATA SHEET"

If you're installing an emergency dump valve, does the size of the header tank matter? Seems to me it's the emergency dump mechanism that improves safety more than the small size of the tank. I guess a 12 gallon tank will take 4 times as long to dump as a 3 gallon tank, but how long is that? Ton
