Joe,
I tried a "tiny tach" and could never get it to work with my magneto set up. It
really did not want to pick up the signal though the shielded wires. If you
peal back the shielding you might have a chance if that is your set up. I ended
up putting on a Westach gage which worked fine.

Congrats
That's got to be some rush pulling the stick back for the first time
Still have to buy some paint and masking tape.

I am the newest owner of KR2 N339RJ.
It is almost ready to fly. It needs some repairs to wing stubs, tail wheel,
Gull wing style canopy needs replaced.
It has oleo struts/retracts and could use a facelift in the interior.
I am unable to keep it running without holding the key in the start

Hi Joe,
I don't have any experience with these parts either, however I must ask a
few questions that would hopefully help someone who knows more.
I would expect the impulse signal to be something you would not read on a
DC or AC setting on a DMM (multi-meter) but could be read on other types

My engine rpm guage is not indicating. ?I have an aircraft rpm guage with an
impulse generator providing signal from the engine. ?The impulse generator has
2 wires, red and black. The instrument has 3 wires red black and green.
Attaching the wiring seems simple.?
With the engine running, I
This morning I did some tailwheel up taxiing(mikes email helped motivate and
plan this event). ?It tracks down the center of the runway with good control, I
wouldn't mind a little more rudder(I can add more later). ?My low idle is a
little rough so I will turn my iddle stop screw a few turns
Well done Mike!

OK Guys, Now that I'm down from a near adrenaline overdose (LOL). This is my
story.
I have been tail up taxiing for several weeks and was feeling pretty confident
that I could keep it on the runway. There was another issue that was dealing me
fits and that was nerves. I kept coming up with
