I had build kvm from sources and then installed a
a guest according to kvm howto using qemu-system-x86_64.
(/usr/local/kvm/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 -hda vdisk.img -cdrom
/path/to/boot-media.iso \
-boot d -m 384)
The qemu-system-x86_64 utility is built when you build kvm from sources.

which uses Rusty Russel virtio API. The intention that this tree will be

I want to use KVM on FC7 (x86_64) on a CPU with VT-x support;
there is a kvm module as part of the kernel ; the problem is that there
is no user space tool for creating the image from the iso;
locate qemu-system-x86_64 does not find anything;
I thought of building last release of KVM

I did not find anything in the FAQ; googling for it did not give a valuable
info either.

I had installed windows under kvm successfully. I want to install
office and other sw in this windows. I insert cd installation media
into the cdrom. When I go to my computer - cdrom , it says please
enter a cd into drive D.
I know for sure that the media is ok because I installed from it
