A copy of this is also on the Professor's web site, but in an English
translation. It is also on CD #3. A nice book.
Thanks, Sof, for bringing your copy to the attention of our French
readers.

Dear Kate -
Welcome back to the list! I know I am far from the only long-time member
(currently mostly lurking) who welcomes you back.
My husband is an Episcopal priest and I have a special interest in church
lace so thanks for pointing this one out. My big regret is that he is not

Funny I'm in the process of discussing lace kit prices on my livejournal
even as we speak. My experience is probably slightly different than a
lot of you because I teach in the SCA, which means beginning classes
are pretty much limited to 2 hours. For my classes I charge a $35 kit

Dear List,
I came across this handmade bobbinlace church lace. I remember some of the
members years ago had clergy in the family, but can't remember who it was.
Super piece! 1700 9027 8184 on ebay.

Hi Tania,
The pattern you are working and showing on your livejournal is, in English,
a Torchon pattern with spiders, trail, fans, and ground. It is a lovely
pattern to work and its components are fairly common in English Torchon.
The English lacemakers would have the footside on the right.
I could not resist the photo of the best of show:)

Tania,
This is a typical Torchon pattern. You can probably find in books for
beginners.
Have fun with it.

Hi Tania,
it looks very much like patterns in the book "Klöppeln - eine alte Handarbeit

Dear Tania,
Looks to be a fairly standard torchon lace pattern - spiders, trails (v),
fans and ground. I don't think it would have a special name like some of the
Bucks Point patterns do.
Different interpretations can be made on the same pricking - the trails and

I would like the lists help in identifying the lace I have started on, you can
