I think it depends where you live where you are taught to put the return
address. In Sweden we put it on the back but when I got an US penpal when I
was 11 they put the return address on the upper left front. So the post

My printer or rather Microsoft Photo editor works that way too. Scan the
pattern first and save it and take it up in your photo program.Just use the
tranparancy tool and you get a white backgruond. You may have to use it
several times but that is OK if I just get rid of the awful colored
background

Another thought just entered my mind. What happens when I die with all my
lacemaking equipment. There are no guild I can give it to here. If my
daughter don´t want to make lace, she has shown no interest so far, she is

Yes, I always put too much thread on my bobbins too, mostly adding a bit
extra "just to be sure" and "better safe than sorry" :-) But when I keep to
the three times and a little bit extra it has always been enough but I am
still a bit unsure about it and I have been making lace for about 10 years

If you make a piece of lace that needs starching, do you make those too on a
straw pillow? I have used my polysterene(builders insulation) pillow mostly
but once in a while a straw pillow. But I am always afraid that the straw
pillow will be destroyed if I put something wet on it. I put on a

under my polysterene pillow, it do help a lot to keep it in place. I prefer
the polysterene ones as I easily can make a new one if I want to start

I photocopy my prickings and put self adhesive matte plastic on top. The
ready made prickings on paper board are probably drawn with water proof ink,
I have never had any trouble with them. If I draw a pricking myself I always
use a very fine permanent ink pen but also put the plastic on top.

continentels. I had a lot of round bobbins and my husband grounded them
square with some machine, that was my thickest continentals. I also have
thinner continentals but I am afraid they would be just like a lollipop

such a big pattern and I used a 24 inch pillow and that worked like a charm.

I use WIndows explorer 6.0 and the curser becomes a hand over the angel as
over the ones with patterns, I just checked again. The angel is so pretty, I
hope someone rekognizes it so we can buy the pattern

You shall not roll your head around on your shoulders, like a circle but
stretch the neck by tipping your head to the left and right slowly with your
chin pressed in, you can also turn your head to the left and right and also
while doing that típ your head slightly in front of your left and right
