If lace authors are only getting pence for their books, and their books are
now out of print so are not getting any further recompense, and they have a
pdf file (and the right to publish more copies themselves) would it not be a
good idea for them to burn and sell CDs with their book in pdf form

You had a contract for the original publication, you were compensated
for that. An antique dealer gets his price as having maintained his
stock and selling it. A

paypal is how I handle the money part of selling my books. The buyer doesn't
need a paypal account, but the seller does need to have one. Paypal lets you
create an invoice, which it sends to your customer. The customer can use any
standard credit card to pay the invoice. Paypal notifies y

That is what I do with my books. But it is a question of who owns the
copyright, and whether a contract with a publisher gave them the sole right to
disseminate. Some authors sell the copyright to the printer, as well as
handing over the text.

i was trying to say that studies that i have recently been reading for work
have shown that whilst people download illegally they often then buy
it is interesting that reports on illegal downloads of music tend to show the
baby boomer generation as the worst culprits. they are also the highest
spenders on legal downloads.

Someone has suggested another printer and I will be able to have my torchon
book printed and wire bound for about the same price as I can produce the
thermal bound ones. They will look better and be less work. I see the printer
next week and I'll keep you informed.

of print book you can try contacting the author (via the publisher or many can
be contacted via Arachne) and ask for permission to copy and how much for the
