Of course I *still* have to switch everything off/on every now and then.

Dear Alex,
Thanks for this information.
I have added rw to my isolinux.cfg as the original Bering one (I think) :

Hi Charles !
Look at my message sent just after your in this thread...
You have mine syslinux.cfg (as isolinux.cfg but for CD) and LRPKG.CFG.
When your syslinux.cfg is too long, you must cut it and extract the packages list into

From: Hammond,
Hello Charles
Create a lrpkg.cfg file in your floppy or CD, and copy all text after LRP=
from syslinux.cfg to lrpkg.cfg. You also can delete LRP= in syslinux.cfg.
I boot Bering from CD. My isolinux.cfg contains (without LRP=):
display syslinux.dpy
timeout 0
default linux initrd=initrd.lrp
Try this link for a start.
http://home.attbi.com/~srlohman/linux/firewall/es-remoteacc.html
His putty instructions worked but his sshd instructions did not.
I am using Dachstein CD 1.0.1 and connect from one windows machine on
the LAN to the LRP box.
To get sshd to work I had to load sshd.lrp,
Francois,
Do you need to specify the lrpkg.cfg filename anywhere in the syslinux.cfg?
Thx...Steve

You can set up routes using ip route add where depending on the destination,
the gateway can be specified.
ip route add x.x.x.x/maskbit via gw-router-ip dev eth0
