Hi Mac & BillFrom memory
Yes it dose! exactly the same way.. I have been using this same method for the
wave attachment for a number of YEARS now. Works Every time...(BUT that was
suppose to be a secret, just between you and the 486 other members.) :-)

Woops!
ONE small typing mistake. Here is the step by step directions.
Set your pitch that you want (drive gears.)Mark the spindle (Indexing marks) ,
Then mark the gears (Gear lineament) ,Now make your roping/cut. When you get to
the end of your cut, just return the carriage to the starting
Hello Steve and Gene
Thank you guy for replying to this posting.
Roping is the one of the main things that got me to buy the Legacy in the first
place.
Mike Pungs concept of carriage indexing was the first step in the quest of
making a easier rope. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjcFpO51upw )
Thank you Tim.

I would also like to have this information, as it seems it would solve some of
the ongoing issues I have with making rope legs also.

I have had my Legacy 1500 for about 6 years. I am very interested in your
EZ indexer system. If possible please send me any information you can so I
can make the EZ indexer unit. I have tried everything to make the rope
design same thickness, one looks great, second fat, third soso. I put

Hi Bill,
I have a 1200 with the Performance CNC upgrade. It has the rack and
pinion. I love it. It took a lot to get it working with modern software
but once I got past that hurtle, I've been very happy with it.
Feel free to pm me with any questions.

Hey guys!... never saw this video before... I have the CNC upgrade that
originally came with my 1800, but it did not have the rack and pinion setup...
what I am curious about is the ball bearing carriage that Tracy was holding in
the beginning of the video... it fits into the Legacy rail
Hello BillI have no first hand knowledge on this CNC unit. but I was told that
Legacy had a lot of problems with gears striping out with this design. But
having said that, I think this was a good idea and a step in the right
direction,
I was dreaming (Years ago) about turning this type of
I’m not a hundred percent sure about that one, around 2009 I think the video is
10 years old

What year did they make this machine Bill?
I'm planing on mounting a servo motor and different micro switches on my
1200 LOM for the up and down (Z axis) to reduce the
burning most common on the start and stop which we struggle with on fluting
etc...

Hey Bill that looked like it worked really well.
Good job! I love your power feed.
So all the slab flattening mills that are coming out now you guys already
had did years ago.

Here’s what I did when I milled my kitchen bench slabs made up of all my spare
legacy parts laying around and some strait timbers.
Worked well the feed is me sitting at the end pulling a rope it worked really
well the slab is about 12ft long and the rails are off a 900 mill
Bill,I've actually given thought to just the oppsosite - in order to easily flatten slabs of wood.I've been considering getting some pieces of the Legacy extrusions and affixing them to a work platform that will accommodate the size of my slab. Then getting two more "long" pieces of the LOM
No Mac that’s Tracy Anderson one of the owners of legacy I wish it was me I’m
a big fat poor guy lolol :-) I cut the picture from the evolution video.
Happy Easter to all in our group
