I have a Revo and recently made a new tailstock shaft complete with Live
Center--- works well ---but kept the old one ,just in case?
I am now thinking of doing the same for the head stock, but making it with
provision for a face plate the same thread as my small wood lathe.
Reason if
nylon lock-ring
will engage the spindle before the threads. Won’t that make the nut hard to
thread onto the spindle?

This is done by simply embedding a nyloc nut into the back of some wood and
using epoxy to hold it in. Obviously the thread of the nut matches your
