Valerie You should be aware that LEGACY BACKUP isn't the same as COPY. Legacy Backup Zips Up your Family File and all its associated small files, into one file which can be saved to a CD or DVD. If you want the file back, you do Legacy Restore. So if you have 34 Family Trees, you'd have to do

When I travel, I use the backup and restore function in Legacy. When you leave home, backup your database. Copy it onto your laptop and use the restore function in your Legacy program on your laptop. When you get back home, backup your database on your laptop, then copy it to your desktop
