Jim,
I assumed that was the case ie. it arose at start-up. I assume that you have
clicked the check for update button on the legacy Home page (I think it is
only there on the de-lux version).

Jim: You say you re-loaded Legacy onto the hard drive; was it a clean
hard drive? If not, could it be that the shortcut is looking for an older
version of Legacy

Brenda,
I finally fixed that problem, the install log I was using was for Win XP,
which of course, uses the name Windows, for their main directory. So I

JIm,
Glad you got the first bit sorted. Why are you downloading version3 from
disc
AFAIK is shorthand for As Far As I Know
he was saying he thought it was Family ...
Hope that helps

Ron,
I didn't download it I had here at the house, ie., the original 3.0 disk I
purchased several years ago, I'm trying anything. The password for the full
version of 4.0 is actually different from the rest. I've never used AFAIK
for any version, where did that come from?

I just had that problem on my wife's computer. When I looked at the

(current) setup program I had on my thumb drive to her desktop and ran that
to reinstall Legacy and then it came up fine.
Don't know why
Hi Jim,
Why aren't you just getting a fresh download of version 6 and installing that?
Why install the earlier versions?
It's possible that you may be able to deal with the left over icon in
Add/Remove by reinstalling version 5 and then uninstalling it but not
necessarily.

JIm,
Glad you got the first bit sorted. Why are you
downloading version3 from
disc? Is the reason that you not have broadband? If
you download the updates
from the web with us now being on version 6 the odds
are it not much smaller
for you than downloading
I recently had problem with my hard drive and had to replace with another I
had here at the house. I then re-loaded my Legacy Version 6. My problem is,
after downloading the latest update, when you double click on the desktop an
icon/box screen comes up saying there is a newer version on the
