Ann,
Any one forwarding private flames on this list is just as guilty as the

Terry - I did not flame anyone. I have had my share of being flamed off

Well, I thought this was a good idea, but unfortunately having just
downloaded the program, I find it doesn't work with the files I wanted
to edit - those with indented lines (e.g. a simple descendant chart).
It also doesn't work copying and pasting into Word, which is what I've
done in the past -
to
Word.
I'm using MS Word 2003 and Acrobat Reader V8.

Jeff,
Dick Eastman reported a free PDF to Word program in his Genealogy Newsletter
this week.
Try http://www.hellopdf.com/
I tried it and it appears to work fine. My only concern is the size of the
resulting Word document - it was nearly ten times the size of the original
PDF file.

How do you convert PDF to Word (without purchasing adobe)? Did you mean rtf to

Your "private flamer" has certainly been proven out-of-line. Please try to
ignore him. We need people like you. This thread has resonated on this
topic, although a few may have misread your original premise. A number of

Oh, Connie, please don't leave. You are one of a handful of people on this
