By the way, just as a matter of information, Michele's discovery is exactly how my Dad's nickname, Red, got in the surname field. His nickname was in my FTM as an AKA. When I imported from FTM, all given name AKA's were put in the surname field. Mystery solved. [Then, I had to apply the lesson that

I suggest you go to index tab, go to options, choose Include AKAs in list. scroll throuth the whole list, giving quick glance at each name. If there are problems, most will 'jump' out at you. A big database may take a while, but any other way is even more tedious. Either fix as found or tag for la
