I have had to uncheck the relationships with parents when I do my file
maintenance routines. My niece who is in two families keeps getting
error reports because I've listed her stepfather, but have left the
mother relationship blank as per Legacy instructions.

When you import files from Family Tree Maker they all come in as
Natural, a real pain to change, as Natural or biological is implied in
normal relationships, ie. not step parent etc. Hope this helps

The version doesn't make a difference.
"Natural" is not a Legacy term but comes from importing a gedcom from
another program - I think FTM but I'm not sure.

single person I had in the original GEDCOM has a natural relationship
to their parents, who were 99% married. Being new to Legacy, I had no
idea that it wasn't

List, you will see the children listed, and at the bottom is the
"Relationship to Father" etc. - this is where you find the

Legacy defaults to blank for Natural relationship. I wouldn't want it
any other way but can always live with options that can be turned off.
However, you can still source the Child-Parent relationship on the
Assigned Sources screen and these sources will show in Reports if
