Hi Steve
My opinion is that there is not enough detail. I would be expecting the line
of text in the citation to give me enough to get a copy of the specific item
(assumed to be a birth record in this case) - for example just pass this
"instruction" over at the counter (pay the money) and recieve
Hi,
Could I get an opinion on the following Source Citation. Would this satisfy the
requirements of genealogists or would I need to add more information for an
opinion? In the notes I have added the GID#.
Thanks

I'm fairly new as well. I record the name that I am first aware of for

It is totally up to you. If you choose to have AKA names show in the Index and

You're right! It works! Thank you! I did just like you said, right-clicked
on the one of the headers (Birth Place, etc.), then clicked on "Save" and I was
able to name it. I named mine "My Column View" and existed the program and
YES, my columns were saved. What's so neat is that I could ha

The important question is, what are you planning to use this for. If you are
tracking different cancers or birth defects for the greater family; or just one
type, then you could use events. If tracking exactly one symptom, you can put
that in the '5th' BMD field.

Congratulations Rita!!!
You may want to track/report more information than Legacy usually

Hi all,
My daughter has just found out she is pregnant. Her doctor has asked her
for her medical history.
Has anyone ever used Legacy to create a Medical Pedigree? If so please
could you give me some pointers? I'm too excited to think!
Thanks,

Chris,
Although it is filling up quickly, it is not yet to capacity. Many from Canada
have signed up too. Canada is 2nd in the list from the top. Weird that it's not

Yours sounds like a good method too. Is your one-name database included with
your main database or is it a separate file?
I'm prompted to look at my stray files regularly because there are several

Chris,
I briefly played with Clooz and Bygones many years ago, and wrote them off as
clunky and unnecessary duplication of effort. But I didn't use them long
enough to know their full capability, so it may be you are used to some
functions that just can't be duplicated in Legacy. If so, be su

Maybe this will clarify my original question:
When I have a "new" document, photo, newspaper obituary, or anything
else I find that might relate to my "family", I first enter and
transcribe it into ByGones and/or Clooz and then cut/paste relevant
information into Legacy to create a master source w
I think Dave thought you were talking about organizing your records in

you were really asking where these documents should be attached in your

as it is now there is a space after the first line - it won't work by

Re Settings don't stay. I may be wrong on this but my setting seem to
stay very well. I would prefer someone from Legacy to come in on this
but if I go to the Index settings, Set the columns the way I want,
right click on the header row, then click on Customize (which brings

I have clicked on this several times, and also entered it into my task bar
