You may have added the whole database 2 different times. It might be easier to
remove all and start over. Where are your files?

Are you saying you sent your data twice to Ancestry? or new.FamilySearch.com? I
would contact the ISP about clean up. Deleting or merging the database you have
given/sent to them may be tricky. Call them, one expensive phone call might be
worth the reassurance it cleaned.
Or delete and restart.
I have a similar situation, where Legacy has the county name spelled
differently in 2 different states. My example is La Salle or LaSalle County
Illinois (also city). I know Legacy doesn't match Atlases/Maps/etc. I just live
with it telling me I am wrong.

Should I back it up as a gedcom or legacy file etc?
I know some people like RIN numbers and use them a lot. I also know that they
are important for internal functioning, but I have never found them useful in my
use of Legacy. I don't display them in the name list. Instead, I show the User
ID, which is very useful for me.

Well, you could have more than one flash-drive. They can be flaky so

There's something in there that's in the paid version only, where you
can check off only certain files within a folder but you'll get the
drift anyway.
Whenever I close Legacy I hit the backup button and make a zip folder.
If the button is not there for you, right-click on the toolbar and drag
it there.
I regularly back up my entire Legacy installation folder, like several
times a day. This is what's called a Syncback 'profile'. Legacy on my PC
