Have you double checked that the new version is opening up the same
database? Maybe after the update the default open changed somehow.

Before I report it, I thought I had better check here.
I just printed an Individual Chart for myself. I notice it shows my

BUT the source for my mom's AKA is listed. Meaning my report has this
orphaned source that does not tie into anything on the report.
I have a problem and (perhaps) a solution to this, and I am now wondering

Image management in Legacy is not the best but you can’t demand so much,
it's a genealogy program.
I generally use IrfanView as the first option for pictures and I

Rob,
The only AKAs that will show up on an individual report are those that belong
to that individual, not to any of his family members.
I can’t reproduce what you are seeing. In my test file I gave the husband an
AKA and attached a source. I give the mother an AKA and attached a source. I
Hi Rob, I think adding or not adding the date of the event in addition to
the date of registration is a personal choice. I like to include both. My
event sentence format is different than yours, but here is a Birth Informant
event from my file:

Thanks Jenny! So you only record the date of the registration (not the date
of the event) correct? Do you create the mirror image, and have an event
(following your example) for yourself saying who was the informant on your
record?
Thanks,
Rob

My only database opened along with lots of new names. I deleted the database
and restored from a back up. The new names are gone.

did a Check/Repair and it corrected the problem). But I see I stupidly
attached the update to a different email I had written this morning.
Sorry for that, and thank you again for your reply!

I'm new to this Users group and I'm wondering if you can help me set up my

Hi Donna,
I think you are saying you are using the files on a home network so you
only have one copy of the files.
Re the Media, they're going to have a different path on the laptop than
when you're using the desktop. However, if you're using the same family

Thank you, Cathy!
I did find how to read previous posts in this Users Group and was getting the
impression that the media files were a different animal than the family file
itself. Since I could specify the family file on my other (desktop) computer, I
assumed (incorrectly?) that I could do the
Hi Rune,
A better solution would be to ask for an enhancement to Legacy to allow
use of an external image editor.
But how often do you want to edit images? I do my editing before
attaching to Legacy. I edit a copy of my archived image and then usually
resize so Legacy doesn't have to work so
